Arranging an assessment

Appointments are made through the hospital's outpatient line or the appointment service. If you are travelling from outside Chongqing, say so when you book, because assessment, donor-site planning and pre-operative tests can sometimes be arranged across fewer visits. Questions about the content of this site can be sent through the contact page.

What to bring

Bring your medical history and a list of current medicines, including supplements, and tell the team about any previous breast surgery or imaging, any family history of breast cancer, and any current breast symptom. Bring recent mammography or ultrasound reports if you have them. Mention any history of poor scarring, unusual bruising or bleeding, or problems with previous anaesthesia, and note the dates of any recent weight change.

What happens at the consultation

Expect an assessment of breast volume, shape and the degree of droop, an examination of the donor sites to judge how much fat is available and from where, and a discussion of what the operation can realistically change. You should leave knowing what volume is plausible, what recovery involves at both sites, how your mammograms may change, and what the alternatives are — including an implant, a lift, or waiting.

Asking a question without booking

Questions about the content of this site, including any correction you believe should be made, are welcome through the hospital's administration line. Questions about your own case are best answered by examination, and we will say so rather than guess.
